Woods added to “Maine’s Next Economy” panel (April 21, 2014)

FALMOUTH — Steve Woods, Democratic candidate for state Senate District 25, has been added to “Maine’s Next Economy,” an Envision Maine policy roundtable to be held 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30 in Topsham.

“I’ll be joining some really smart people like Catherine Renault, Alan Caron and our current state senator, Richard Woodbury,” Woods said. “These are people committed to finding nonpartisan,  creative solutions to Maine’s economic problems, from an entrepreneurial and not political standpoint. The event will cause Woods to postpone a Coffee with the Candidate event scheduled for 9 a.m. at Maine Coffee Roasters on U.S. Route 1 in Yarmouth. That event will now take place at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Woods, of Yarmouth, is president and CEO of TideSmart Global, an international marketing firm based in Falmouth that employs 75. He also serves as chairman of the Yarmouth Town Council and ran a statewide campaign for U.S. Senate in 2012.

Woods is seeking the Democratic nomination to represent state Senate District 25, most of which is the former District 11 and includes the towns of Chebeague Island, Cumberland, Falmouth, Gray, Long Island, Westbrook and Yarmouth.
